As a Solar Technician, your primary responsibility will be to install, maintain, and repair solar panel systems. You will be required to conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of solar installations and ensure that all systems are operating efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing solar panels on residential or commercial buildings: You will be responsible for mounting panels, connecting them to inverters, and ensuring proper wiring.
- Conducting routine maintenance: You will need to perform regular checks on solar panels to identify any issues and make necessary repairs.
- Troubleshooting system failures: You will be expected to diagnose and fix any problems that arise with the solar panel system.
To excel in this role, you should have a diploma in a related field and at least 1-3 years of experience working with solar energy systems. Strong technical skills and knowledge of electrical systems are essential. You should also have good physical fitness, as the job may require working at heights and in various weather conditions.
